Harry has always had a way of finding people when they were low, make them feel like they were important to him, and use them for his benefit. That doesn't mean he doesn't like people, or sees them only as tools. Quite the contrary. He genuinely cares and wants to help people up, but his way, in the way he considers is up. And his way always has profit in mind.

His affection for Neil is genuine. Being gentlemanly and paying for dinner and cabs is the way he was brought up - it's good form (though his father would shudder to think who Harry is spending money on). He does expect affection in return, but he is given it. Neil sits close, teases him, plays coy and cocky and likes to hear him talk. Harry does like that rather a lot.

He approaches Neil and puts his hand on the small patch of bare skin just above they boy's jeans. He's been meaning to do that since he looked up to him by the pool through those beautiful long lashes. "Do you?" He asks, coy, with a little sly smile that appears now that they are alone.
